Dr. Gyve Hamidi was born and raised in Beverly Hills (90212, not 90210), California. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Social Science with an emphasis on Research and Analytical Methods and a minor in management. Always interested in a career in service of others, he began to pursue a JD at the Boston University School of Law. However, about halfway through his program, he decided the law was not his true calling and began to pursue a career in dentistry instead.

Dr. Hamidi completed a pre-health post-baccalaureate program at New York University and received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Rhode Island. He has had work experience in various settings within general dentistry, including in private practice, corporate organizations, and in community health where he provided health care for underserved populations.

Like Drs. Phil and Steph Kroll, Dr. Hamidi believes deeply in the importance of continuing education and improvement. This past year, he completed over 10 times the amount of continuing education hours required by the state of California. He also is actively pursuing the Fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction achieved by only 6% of dentists in the United States and Canada.

In his free time, Dr. Hamidi enjoys fitness, music, and, of course, any type of quality time with friends and family (especially his family’s adopted dog, JoJo).
